Welcome to 10th grade Art with Ms. Cat. Here is my email: cbrooks@lapazschool.org

First, a little bit about me:
I moved to Costa Rica from New Mexico in the United States specifically to work at La Paz. I've been teaching art K-8 for over 13 years and have taught many workshops, after school programs, and museum classes for students. It's my first time teaching IB, so we will be learning together. I look forward to working with you this year.

Week of August 29th- September 2nd
This week we will be discussing/ reviewing artists Vik Munoz and JR who work with themes of peace, sustainability and bringing about positive change in the world. You might remember these two artists from last year if you had class with Miss Lizzie. We'll be discussing and reviewing the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. You will begin documenting your artistic process in a visual journal.

Question for the week: What makes art "great art"?
